The completion of Centenary year of Sree Thakur Satyananda (1902-2002) is a landmark event in the spiritual, cultural and social history of India. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, a  postage stamp has been released by Dr. Sanjay Paswan, Hon’ble State Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Govt. of India On 23rd July 2002 at 6 p.m. at Kalamandir Auditorium, Kolkata.

His Excellency, Sri Viren J. Shah, Governor of W.B. will be the Guest-In-Chief. Sri Tapan Sikdar, Hon'ble Minister Of State for Chemical and Fertilizer will be present as Special Guest of Honour, Smt. Anjana Ben Shah, first lady, W.B., Smt. The Birth Centenary of Sree Thakur Satyananda was celebrated in a befitting manner through a whole night devotional classical concert at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata on 13th April 2002 at 5 pm.
